MyTy

MyTy is a box of materials for children who are newly diagnosed with type 1 diabetes that teaches them about their condition. The box includes items such as an activity book, log book, colorful band aids, an ID card, stickers, and Benny, the stuffed animal dog to hold while taking injections. This was inspired by my own experience with being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 8 years old. MyTy was created with kids in mind to make diabetes feel more approachable during an uncertain time in their lives.
